Finite Pro Bono Opportunities for Family Law Attorneys

The Family Law Pro Bono Limited Representation Project allows attorneys to volunteer for a half-day in Suffolk Family and Probate Court to provide limited representation to otherwise pro se parties. Volunteers are asked to dedicate one or two Friday mornings per year to volunteering in Suffolk Probate and Family Court. Volunteers may represent one or more low-income pro se parties in a discrete matter and are needed starting in mid-April. Typical appearances involve motion practice and pre-trial matters. Volunteers must review training materials and provide proof of minimal malpractice coverage prior to participating. If you are interested, please contact the BBA Department of Community Affairs at Pdullea@bostonbar.org.
