Boston Globe Story Inspires Pride in Profession Tuesday’s Boston Globe featured an article showing U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Joan Feeney and bankruptcy lawyer Janet Bostwick helping high school students stay out of bankruptcy by making smart choices re: credit and credit cards – as part of the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program, a partnership between the BBA and the Bankruptcy Court, with funding from the Normandin Fund of the Boston Bar Foundation. On another proud note, the BBF's Normandin Fund recently received a $25,000 grant from the American College of Bankruptcy in support of the financial literacy program. The story was also picked up by the ABA Journal daily newsletter. High school students in the BBA Summer Jobs Program will also get financial literacy education, so if you haven't signed up to hire a student, please contact Paul Dullea today at PDullea@bostonbar.org. |
