Congratulations to Charlotte Kim

Charlotte Kim, a partner in the the Finance and Restructuring Group at Choate Hall & Stewart,* has been elected President of the Asian-American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts (AALAM) for a two-year term. During her term, Charlotte plans to focus her efforts on promoting a greater unity of purpose, which will include working toward the upcoming National Asian American Pacific Bar Association convention in Boston in 2009, and on advancing shared diversity goals in the legal profession.

At Choate Charlotte focuses her practice on all aspects of senior, second lien, subordinated and other junior lending; cash-flow and asset-based financings; buyout and acquisition finance; debt securities offerings; venture debt; domestic and international corporate finance; lease financings; restructuring transactions, and advising public and private companies on debt capital structure. She is also a member of Choate’s Diversity Committee.

Charlotte received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1995 and her A.B., magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1991. She was a Fulbright Scholar at the Centre for European Policy Studies (1991-1992) in Brussels, Belgium.

AALAM is a non-partisan, non-profit organization of over 100 Asian-American lawyers, judges, and law professors whose mission is to promote and enhance the Asian-American legal profession by furthering and encouraging professional interaction and the exchange of ideas among its members and with other individuals, groups, and organizations, and improving and facilitating the administration of law and justice through various means.
