Mary K. Klimesh (center), ABA Publications Director, recognizes Thomas P. Cody (left) and Brian W. Blaesser (right), both of Robinson & Cole LLP, for co-editing the ABA's Redevelopment book, Redevelopment: Planning, Law, and Project Implementation

Boston – August 13, 2008 – Robinson & Cole’s LandLaw partners, Brian W. Blaesser and Thomas P. Cody recently co-edited Redevelopment: Planning, Law, and Project Implementation through the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of State and Local Government Law.

This book provides practitioners with a comprehensive, usable framework for understanding the complex process of redevelopment. With 15 chapters authored by a variety of experts, including chapters authored by Messrs Blaesser and Cody, the book covers the nuts and bolts of redevelopment planning, design, and finance, as well as the applicable federal, state, and local laws that control redevelopment.  The book also includes helpful practice tips and explanatory notes from the editors and contains three in-depth case studies that illustrate the concepts explained in the book, with special attention to lessons learned.

As noted in the Foreword by Thomas D. Bell, Jr., Chairman of the Board and CEO of Cousins Properties Incorporated, this book "is an excellent guide to navigating the highly complex world of mixed use and urban redevelopment." For more information, please visit www.abanet.org.
