Lawyers' Committee For Civil Rights Announces New Leadership
The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law of the Boston Bar Association* has announced the appointment of Norma D'Apolito as the organization’s new Executive Director and Harvey J. Wolkoff and Daniel J. Gleason as its co-chairmen. D’Apolito has spent over twenty-five years working in the fields of civil rights and higher education, including her work as Associate Dean at Cardozo Law School, and as a litigator for the Legal Aid Society in New York and for Greater Boston Legal Services*. Wolkoff is a litigation partner at Ropes & Gray LLP*, and Gleason is a litigation partner at Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP*. Both have served on the organization’s executive committee for a number of years and have tried several cases for the organization on a pro bono basis. A non-profit civil rights organization founded in 1968, the Lawyers’ Committee is dedicated to combating race and national-origin discrimination through impact litigation, community education and advocacy. *BBA Sponsor Firms |
