BBA VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SEEKS VOLUNTEERS
The BBA's New Lawyers Section is seeking volunteers for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Volunteers prepare state and federal income tax returns for low-income taxpayers at community sites in Boston. Each volunteer is asked to contribute approximately 12 hours of his or her time during tax season. All volunteers must complete IRS on-line training and certification. An information/training session is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2008, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boston Bar Association.
