K&L Gates Grows The international law firm of K&L Gates* announced Tuesday its merger with the Texas law firm of Hughes & Luce LLP, a firm with approximately 150 lawyers. Effective January 1, 2008, the merger will boost K&L Gates' ranking on The National Law Journal’s list of the nation's largest law firms and solidify the firm's presence in the Texas legal and business markets.
