MVP OF THE WEEK
 |
At home or on the road, Janet E. Bostwick has helped make the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program a success. Earlier this week, Janet led two teams of lawyers through courtroom sessions for teenagers from Worcester and South Hadley. These sessions demonstrated the very real consequences associated with credit problems. Janet, a Boston bankruptcy specialist, traveled to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Springfield and Worcester where students observed a mock creditors’ conference and mock relief from stay hearing. The Honorable Henry J. Boroff, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and Honorable Joel B. Rosenthal, presided over the sessions. At the end of the month, Bostwick will repeat her feat with sessions at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Boston before the Honorable Joan N. Feeney, who serves with Bostwick as Co-chair of the Program. For her tireless efforts to educate hundreds of teenagers about managing their finances and steering clear of credit problems, we honor Janet as our BBA MVP of the Week. |
