"What was your favorite subject in school?"
 |
Carter D. Morse, Jr. – Foley Hoag LLP
"First year torts with Professor McMorrow was my favorite subject in law school. She handed out pens inscribed with ‘RPPSSC’ throughout the year to whoever recited the negligence standard:
Reasonable Prudent Person in the Same or Similar Circumstances. Oh, this was also where I met my wife!" |
 |
Jack Zanini – Office of Suffolk County D.A.
"I was never real keen on school. That’s why I quit after law school. Enough’s enough. My favorite subject was phenomenological psychology, as it was studied at the University of Dallas. We were encouraged to read, discuss and experience all we could about the human condition: psychology, philosophy, literature, history, religion, science, drama, political science and economics (in no particular order). After that I was quite well prepared for the practice of law and not prepared at all for law school." |
 |
Alexander Klibaner – Sally & Fitch LLP
"Chemistry, because it ‘matters.’ Then, I learned in college that I was measuring-challenged, which made it very difficult for my lab experiments to work out. So, I majored in philosophy, where ideas matter, but with less math and less mess." |
