BBA Public Interest Leaders Sponsor Program on Immigration Detention Thursday, March 19, 2009, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Please join the BBA Public Interest Leaders for a reception to introduce the Pro Bono Detention Panel Initiative, in partnership with the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project. In recent years, there has been a surge in immigration detention and a 100% increase of removal by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Unfortunately, the legal needs of immigration detainees go largely unmet.
