Ned Leibensperger Wins Pro Bono Award
BBA Past President Edward P. Leibensperger, a partner at McDermott Will & Emery, was among the recipients of his firm’s 2008 award for Outstanding Achievement and Commitment to Pro Bono and Service to the Community. As some of you may recall, Ned partnered with Children’s Rights, a nonprofit advocacy organization, winning a federal class action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan that greatly improved the lives and safety of some 19,000 children relegated to foster care. But it gets even better. In recognition of Ned’s pro bono work and commitment to the community service program in the firm’s Boston office, MWE has made a $2,000 donation to the Boston Bar Foundation, the charity of Ned’s choice. If your firm wants to make a gift in your honor to the BBF, tell Paul Dullea at pdullea@bostonbar.org or (617) 778-1934. |
