Nixon Peabody Announces M&A Practice Group and Launches South Asia Practice
Nixon Peabody has announced the launch of its South Asia practice. Anjali Chaturvedi, a partner who practices primarily in the area of government investigations and defends organizations and individuals in complex civil and criminal matters, will lead the practice. Made up of a team of multi-disciplinary attorneys, it advises clients in South Asia in areas such as arbitration and dispute resolution, banking and capital markets, M&A, private equity, venture capital and joint ventures, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, franchising, infrastructure, intellectual property, and labor and employment. In addition to India, this team is focusing on current and new business opportunities in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal.

The firm has also announced that Philip B. Taub, a partner who practices in the area of corporate transactional work, including mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, start-ups, shareholder disputes and venture capital financing, will lead its national and international Mergers & Acquisitions practice. A newly-formed practice that combines the firm’s Private Company Transactions group and Venture Capital, Emerging Growth & Technology group, it has more than 80 attorneys in the U.S. and abroad. |
