State Court Advocacy Day in the Works Amid concerns about the fiscal crisis facing the Massachusetts State Courts, the BBA and MBA urge you to attend an important State Court Advocacy event on March 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts State House, Grand Staircase. Following remarks by Chief Justice Margaret Marshall and others, you will be asked to make personal visits to your legislators to make the case for adequate funding of the courts. As noted in the recent report of the BBA Task Force on the FY2010 Judiciary Budget, the Governor’s proposed budget would reduce funding for the judiciary by $24 million, adversely affecting the people and businesses that rely on the courts every day. Let us know we can count on your participation, and register to attend this event now. |
