Brown Rudnick Honored by Human Rights Campaign

Brown Rudnick was among those recognized at the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 5th Annual Corporate Equality Index Awards ceremony hosted by Time Warner in New York. The ceremony honored those Fortune 500 companies and American Lawyer’s “Top 200” law firms that scored 100% on HRC’s 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and Best Places to Work Survey.  Brown Rudnick joined the ranks of 259 other major U.S. businesses that received a perfect score on the CEI in recognition for their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and consumers.

Jason Mahler Certified as a LEED AP

Brown Rudnick has announced that Jason A. Mahler, an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Group, has been certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  By earning Accredited Professional status, Jason joins only 16 other attorneys in Massachusetts and fewer than 320 in the country with this accreditation, and demonstrates a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the application of the LEED Rating System.  Jason will advise clients on local, state and federal green building requirements and will assist with the complex LEED certification process.
