Volunteer Lawyers Project Awards Arlene Bernstein and Anita Robboy were chosen as co-recipients of the Gideon’s Trumpet Award due to the breadth and quality of their pro bono efforts through Senior Partners for Justice. They are both experienced and accomplished family law attorneys who have handled pro bono cases for VLP clients, including complex and demanding cases that required a high level of expertise. Bruce McElvenny was recently honored with the Denis Maguire Award in recognition of his tireless work for VLP. He has taken a widen range of cases from the VLP since 1992 when he was first admitted to the bar, representing group clients seeking incorporation and/or nonprofit status from the IRS and handling trusts and estates and tax matters, and unemployment claims. |
