| Brown Rudnick
Makes Generous Gift for Arthritis Research
Brown Rudnick, in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation, has established the "Ellen Lutch Bender Arthritis Research Award." Named for a former Chairperson of the Arthritis Foundation and a former Director of Brown Rudnick’s Health Care Practice Group, this three-year, $150,000 postdoctoral fellowship will be awarded to a doctor to fund innovative research dedicated to the prevention, control and cure of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The award recipient will be announced in late-May during National Arthritis Month, and the award will be presented on June 22, 2009 at an evening reception at the Boston offices of Brown Rudnick. Thomas J. Phillips, Chair of the Brown Rudnick’s Retail & Shopping Centers Practice Group, was selected by the Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) to serve as State Director for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. His term will begin on May 17, 2009. As State Director, Thomas will be responsible for guiding ICSC’s State Leadership Committee and Program Planning Committees in order to advance the interests of the retail real estate industry in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. |
