BBA Releases Half-Time Summer Jobs Score Card

As of press time, fourteen leading law firms – along with Partners HealthCare, the Suffolk County D.A.’s Office, the City of Boston legal department, and the BBA – each have committed to hiring one or more Boston high school students this summer through the BBA Summer Jobs Program. Thanks to funds made available via the M. Ellen Carpenter Fund of the Boston Bar Foundation, two additional jobs will be available, one at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and another with a public sector employer to be selected. 

The BBA Summer Jobs Program, now in its 16th year, plays a number of roles: helping to widen the pipeline of Boston youth going on to college and law school, providing teens with a chance to earn money in a professional environment, and helping law firms, lawyers and staff demonstrate their concern for the community.
