Please join the BBA Public Interest Leadership Program (PILP) for a reception to introduce the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts, Inc.’s Pro Bono Program which was established to assist children who need legal representation in education matters and whose families cannot afford the high cost of legal services. The program meets this need by matching children throughout Massachusetts with private attorneys who are willing to provide legal representation and advice on a pro bono basis. Come learn about compelling pro bono opportunities to advocate for children’s educational rights and ways to develop an expertise in juvenile rights’ cases and courtroom skills.

A short presentation given by Robyn L. Laukien of the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts will provide the attendees a general view of the program, and Melissa Nott Davis, McDermott Will & Emery, Bruce R. Kessler, Goodwin Procter, and Elizabeth A. Killingsworth, Goodwin Procter, will share their experiences as volunteer attorneys for the program.
