2008 Associate Satisfaction Survey Results Congratulations to Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP*, Ropes & Gray LLP* and Brown Rudnick LLP* for receiving high rankings on the 2008 Associate Satisfaction Survey conducted by The American Lawyer magazine. The firms ranked 1st, 19th, and 24th respectively. Both Nutter, McClennan & Fish and Ropes & Gray moved up the ranking significantly and Brown Rudnick placed very high as a new firm participant in the survey. AmLaw’s annual review of midlevel associates rated firms in 12 areas that contribute to job satisfaction including firm policies on the billable hour and pro bono work, relations between associates and partners, benefits and compensation, and the likelihood of an associate staying at the firm for at least two more years. Over 7,000 third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates at 180 firms across the world took part in the survey released earlier this year. |
