Annual Meeting Luncheon Honorees Announced

The BBA is proud to recognize the following recipients of this year’s Annual Meeting awards.  The awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting Luncheon on Thursday, September 11 at the Seaport Hotel.  If you have not yet purchased tickets or a table for the event, call Katie Elmore today at (617) 778-1904. 

Distinguished Public Servant Award

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley will receive the BBA Distinguished Public Servant Award for his steadfast and courageous leadership in reversing wrongful criminal convictions.
 
John G. Brooks Public Service Award

Joel Thompson of Massachusetts Correctional Legal Services, Inc. is being honored for his dedication in providing outstanding representation to incarcerated people.
 
Thurgood Marshall Award

The law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP will receive the Thurgood Marshall Award for its extraordinary generosity in providing legal representation to the needy, and its substantial commitment to tackling the very serious issue of wrongful criminal convictions through its work with the New England Innocence Project.  Joe Savage will accept the award on behalf of Goodwin Procter.
