Volunteer as  Pre-Trial Conferencer or Mediator

The BBA and the Boston Municipal Court ADR Program offers a rewarding pro bono opportunity at the BMC.  When you volunteer as a Pre-Trial Conferencer and/or mediator (Brooke Courthouse, 24 New Chardon Street, Boston) you become part of a unique collaboration between the bar and the court:

  • See other trial lawyers in action
  • Work with court personnel to expedite the judicial process
  • Orientation to the program provided
  • Skill building opportunities  

Requirements for Volunteers:

  • Pre-Trial Conferencers must be admitted to the bar for at least 4 years
  • Mediators must be trained as a mediator with a 30 hour course and must have mediated at least ten cases
  • Each program requires a commitment of at least 4 mornings a year
