BBA Green Office Tip of the Week
Turn your computer and monitor off when you leave work; usually they have to be turned off separately. They both use about the same amount of electricity when idle as when they’re being actively used (45 watts for CPU and 80 watts for monitor). A screensaver does not save energy, and may prevent your system from switching to a low power sleep mode. The Green Office Program promotes 10 simple steps to reduce the waste of paper and energy in law office operations and to increase recycling and other environmentally more sustainable law office practices. |
