Sponsors:
BBA Litigation Section, Pro Bono Committee
Volunteer Lawyers Project

Full program description

Unemployment benefits are available to individuals who become unemployed through no fault of their own.

This seminar will provide a broad overview of the substantive law governing unemployment claims by exploring statute, case law and regulations. Attendees will receive practical guidance on how to plan and present an administrative hearing in which the client is either appealing their denial of unemployment benefits, or in which an employer has appealed the granting of such benefits. The panel will also discuss related issues that may arise in these cases and how to address them.
