Paul Tyrrell, FINRA, and Frances Cohen, Bingham McCutchen LLP, will provide an overview of developments relating to securities sales to seniors, including FINRA guidance, sweeps and enforcement action and class action litigation.

A part of the Litigation Section, the Securities Enforcement and Litigation Committee provides a forum for substantive, procedural, and practical discussions on topics affecting federal, state, and self-regulatory organization securities enforcement and litigation. The goal of the committee is to foster dialogue between and amongst the legal and investigatory staff of securities regulators, lawyers who represent companies and persons involved in regulatory investigations/enforcement proceedings, and lawyers who represent plaintiffs in private securities litigation and shareholder derivative actions. The committee generally meets monthly over lunch and from time to time sponsors longer programs.
