Come mingle with your peers at the New Lawyers Section Fall Social Event! Friends, family, and significant others are welcome. We will be meeting at the Living Room at 5:30 p.m. for drinks and hors d'oeuvres, and then heading over to the Improv Asylum for an evening of improvisational comedy.

"Demystifying Tax Returns"

Stephen J. Bravo, CPA, ABV, CBA, CFP will review individual income and S Corporation tax returns for attorneys who would like to avoid mistakes and maximize their usefulness during discovery or at trial. He will explain where to find key information needed to evaluate damages or divide assets. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers at the end of the presentation.

Fifth Annual Holiday Pro Bono Reception

The reception is a wonderful and festive event designed to encourage all lawyers to participate in one of the many pro bono projects that are organized by the different sections of the Boston Bar Association.  In addition to live jazz, food, and fun, the evening involves brief presentations on existing pro bono projects by lawyers that have participated in them, and an opportunity to learn more about a particular project during the post-presentation reception.  We look forward to seeing you on December 8th!

Please join us for a tour of the J. Joseph Moakley Federal Courthouse and Library of the United States Courts in the First Circuit. The tour will be conducted by Discovering Justice: The James D. St. Clair Court Education Project, and will be followed by an introduction to the Library led by one of the staff reference librarians.

Those interested should meet outside the security desk at the J. Joseph Moakley Courthouse, One Courthouse Way in Boston. All visitors over the age of 18 must have TWO forms of identification with them, one containing a photograph. Electronic devices, including cell phones, cameras, and portable music players, are NOT permitted in the courthouse. Additionally, containers with liquids, such as water bottles, will not be allowed to pass through security.
