The Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Advisory Committee on Professionalism has named the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Greater Lynn Bar Association as providers for the mandatory professionalism course for new lawyers admitted to the bar, pursuant to SJC Rule 3:16.

"The Committee took a careful and considered approach in evaluating every proposal we received and are very enthusiastic about the chosen pool of approved providers," said retired Superior Court Judge Nonnie S. Burnes, Chair of the Committee. "We look forward to working with the approved providers to make this course a meaningful and valuable experience for the next generation of lawyers in the Commonwealth."

The BBA’s course has been developed in partnership with the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts, the Hampden County Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys, the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys, the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston, and the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts.
