Addressing joint bench-bar concerns
The Administration of Justice Section has a busy year ahead, working on several informational and service-oriented events in conjunction with the Courts. Also on the docket will be a joint program with the New England School of Law regarding "Judicial Time on the Bench" as a measure of productivity.
This year, the Section will present a Brown Bag program addressing Judge Dennis Curran's early intervention ADR pilot project in Middlesex Superior Court as well as a program concerning the recently released Trial Court's Strategic Planning Document.
A new booklet covering the process of Judicial Selection in Massachusetts is in the works and is expected to be released this year. The Section is also working on updates to their 2005 recommendations for improved judicial efficiencies throughout the Trial Court.
