Providing a forum to discuss constitutional issues

October is Pro Bono Month

Each year Governor Deval Patrick issues a proclamation naming October Pro Bono Month (click here for last year’s version). At the Boston Bar Association, pro bono and public service activity is a priority, which is why we compiled a calendar (with help from our Boston Bar Foundation Grantees) of everything going on this October. For more information, contact Public Service Programs Coordinator Katie D'Angelo atkdangelo@bostonbar.org

Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Committees

  • Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Public Policy
The BBA is very active in legislative and regulatory changes. Attorneys are often asked to lend their expertise. Contact: Sara Mackey, BBA Sections Manager, smackey@bostonbar.org or 617-778-1982.
  • Steering Committee
The goal of the Committee for Attorneys with Disabilities is to build fellowship between attorneys with disabilities and their professional allies; share experiences, resources and career advancement strategies; and provide a forum for increased communication and understanding within the legal community. The Committee will work to develop opportunities for attorneys with disabilities and their allies to converge in social and educational settings.
