BBA Will Host Panel on the Implications of DOMA

On July 15th at 4:30pm, the BBA’s Diversity & Inclusion Section will host a panel discussion on the practical, real life implications facing same-sex couples following Wednesday’s historic Supreme Court ruling, which struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) as unconstitutional. The program will offer tips and recommendations for navigating the changing legal landscape as federal marriage benefits and protections are now legally granted to all married couples.

The panel will be held at 4:30 pm at the BBA with a reception to follow. The program will feature the following speakers:

Jonathan Miller , Chief, Civil Rights Division at Massachusetts Attorney General's Office
Vickie Henry , Staff Attorney at GLAD
Joyce Kauffman , Partner, Kauffman Crozier LLP
Christina Miller (Program Chair) , Chief of District Courts and Community Prosecutions, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office
