USDC to Host Community Discussion on Confronting Subconscious Bias

The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts will host a Community Discussion on Confronting Subconscious Bias on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Moakley Courthouse. The discussion would feature speakers from the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice of Harvard Law School including Professor Charles Ogletree (Director) and Johanna Wald (Director of Strategic Planning and Development).

Tackling the Shift of Racial Consciousness Within the Legal Community

On Wednesday, May 1st as part of the YWCA’s annual Stand Against Racism campaign, the BBA recently hosted “Racism & Law: The Shifting of Racial Consciousness within the Legal Community”. The event began with a keynote speech by Ruth E. Fitch, President and CEO of The Dimock Center, who then joined panelists for a lively discussion.
