On Monday, May 20, 2013, Paula M. Carey, currently the Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court, was appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court to serve as the new Chief Justice of the Trial Court, effective July 16, 2013. Chief Justice Carey has provided the Probate and Family Court with seven years of exemplary leadership.
