Thursday, February 28, 2013

On February 7, 2013, the Privacy Law Committee of the Intellectual Property Section hosted a lunch program, “Data Security Laws and the Rising Cybersecurity Debate.” This program was presented by Corey M. Dennis of Governo Law Firm LLC and Ellen M. Giblin of Ashcroft Law Firm.

The event was well-attended and involved an interesting discussion of state and federal data security laws, the recently proposed cybersecurity Executive Order, and the debate surrounding recent cybersecurity bills.
