Addressing issues facing an increasingly global practice

BBA to Host Stand Against Racism Event

Please join us on Wednesday, May 1st at 5:30pm as Boston's legal community comes together to tackle the issue of racism. As part of the YWCA Boston's Stand Against Racism campaign, the BBA's Diversity & Inclusion Section, the affinity bar associations,  and several other organizations have teamed up to bring the judiciary, government agencies, universities and firms to speak at the event. These featured speakers will provide an "inside view" of emerging racial issues.  The goal of the program is to raise awareness about the existence of lingering racism in the legal profession and the community at large, and to educate the audience members on steps they and their communities can take.
Program Chair: Jessica Massey, MAHA President-Elect

Participants include:

Boston Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Section
Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys
Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association
Mass LGBTQ Bar Association
ALPFA-Law Boston
Women's Bar Association
Massachusetts Bar Association

The event will begin with a keynote address, followed by a moderated panel discussion.  The event will conclude with a networking reception. More information is available here.
