ABA Annual Employment Law Trial Advocacy Competition

Friday, September 28, 2012

The ABA’s Labor and Employment Law Section is holding the New England regional portion of its Annual Employment Law Trial Advocacy Competition for law students at the Brooke Courthouse in Boston on October 27 and 28, 2012.  We would greatly appreciate it if you would agree to participate by serving as an evaluator.  We are seeking experienced and respected labor and employment law litigators in the Boston area to serve as evaluators.  Please let us know if you are available to spend about three hours in the courthouse in either a morning or afternoon session on Saturday, October 27 or in the morning or afternoon on Sunday, October 28.

You are also invited to join us at the reception for participants, which will be held in downtown Boston on Saturday, October 27 immediately after the Saturday afternoon session.  We had an excellent group of judges and evaluators last year, including participants from both the plaintiff and defense bar and including many of you.  It truly is a rewarding experience, a great opportunity to contribute to legal education in our area of the law and a lot of fun.

The starting times for the three hour blocks will be the following:

Saturday, October 27

8:30 a.m.

1:30 p.m.

Sunday, October 28

8:30 a.m.

1:30 p.m.

TO RSVP: If you are able to participate, please click here. When you respond, please let us know which three hour blocks of time are available on your schedule. Ideally, we are looking for maximum flexibility, so please identify as many alternative times as would work for you (but be assured that you will not be asked to serve for more than one trial). Most of the trials will be on Saturday.
