The BBA Trusts and Estates Section is looking for authors for its popular blog and quarterly newsletter.
We are looking for a “staff” of writers who are interested in writing timely, informative summaries on everything from recent court cases, IRS publications, Revenue Rulings, and an assortment of other topics that pertain to the diverse practice of Trusts & Estates, such as tax, non-profit, corporate, real estate, investment, and family law. The Blog/Newsletter Editors will send out calls for writers on specific topics as they become pertinent, and the New Lawyer liaisons to the T&E Section will coordinate among the staff writers to assign these topics. Check out the blog to get a feel for the type of short articles and blurbs we are looking for. If you are new to a topic, take a crack at it anyway! All writings will be reviewed by different members of the T&E Section before publication.
Have an idea of your own? If you are interested in a topic, you should also feel free to check in with us and write an article on your own initiative. Have an idea for an article, but want a more senior attorney to help you write the best article you can? Contact us and we will help facilitate finding you a topic mentor.
Benefits to Authors:
- Build your resume and impress your current and/or future employers
- Make connections with more senior members of the BBA in your field
- Name recognition
- Show your clients that you are a thought leader
Email Michelle Kalas (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Tamara Sturges (email@example.com), the New Lawyer Section liaisons to the T&E Section, to get on the author list or to let us know of a topic you are interested in writing about.
