BBA Lawyer Referral Service Reaches Out to Elders

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

On Tuesday, May 8, 2012, the BBA Lawyer Referral Service participated in the 7th annual “Aging is Everyone’s Future” conference held at Lombardo’s in Randolph, MA.  The conference was hosted by South Shore Elder Services, Inc., which works to promote the independence of elders and assists in coordinating and providing a wide range of services to elders in 11 communities on the South Shore. This conference was a great opportunity for senior citizens in this area to interact with different organizations and businesses located throughout the Greater Boston area.

Robert McGill, founder of the McGill Law Firm in Boston and a member of the BBA Lawyer Referral Service, joined the BBA staff at the conference and answered questions from attendees about estate planning, wills, Medicare, health care proxies, and the importance of making sure your estate is in order.  The event provided an opportunity for BBA staff to interact with the community and to answer questions about how to obtain a lawyer through the BBA Lawyer Referral Service, the only ABA-approved lawyer referral service in the greater Boston area.

The BBA Lawyer Referral Service is a public service of the Boston Bar Association, dedicated to helping members of the public connect with attorneys appropriate to their needs.
