Welcome to the Tax Section of the Boston Bar Association!
Thank you for your interest in the Tax Section of the BBA. Our goal is to provide legal education and professional networking opportunities to our members through a variety of programs, including CLEs and Brown Bag Lunches.
The Tax Section includes four substantive Committees: State & Local Tax, Federal Tax & Business Transactions, International Tax, and ERISA. The members of our Section include tax practitioners from all legal environments, including law firms of all sizes, accounting firms, solo practitioners, in-house legal and compliance departments, and law schools. Our programming is open to all BBA members as well as non-members, and we particularly welcome attendance by government lawyers and by law students and new lawyers who may be starting to practice, or considering practicing, tax law.
We pride ourselves on programming that is current, relevant and practical. In particular, we are excited to offer a CLE program, FATCA: Theory and Practice, on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Additional information is available here and we hope you will consider attending.
Our Steering Committee generally meets on the second Monday of every month at noon at the offices of the BBA, and all members of the Tax Section are welcome to attend. Current information about all of our programs and meetings is available on the BBA website here.
If you would like to get involved in the Tax Section, please contact Thomas Greenaway (email@example.com) or Natascha George (firstname.lastname@example.org). We hope you’ll join us at an event soon!
