State Sentencing Issues: White Collar Crime, Lobby Conferences, Sentencing Advocacy, The Development of the Adolescent Brain

Description:

This seminar will discuss various issues in state court sentencing practice and will focus on three distinct issues facing practitioners.  Superior Court judges and experienced counsel will offer tips and strategies on how to use the lobby conference to enhance sentencing advocacy.  The panelists will also discuss sentencing and dispositional strategy and options in white collar crime cases, including large and small-scale economic crimes, fraud, corruption, environmental and computer offenses.  An expert will discuss the impact of recent medical research and cases about adolescent brain development on sentencing young offenders.  The panelists will also be available to answer questions.
