Navigating and Comparing Tricky Procedural Issues in Litigation - Tips for New Lawyers

Wednesday, January 16, 2013 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

For new lawyers, it is often difficult to know what to expect at the start of a new case.  It is further complicated by the differences in practice in state and federal courts within a given jurisdiction.  What's a new lawyer to do?  Join chairs of the Massachusetts Practice & Procedure Committee and Federal Practice & Procedure Committee for a discussion of special issues in state and federal litigation in Massachusetts.  Learn about tricky filing practices, meet and confer rules, deadlines, the roles of different judges in the system and other practical matters affecting the conduct of a case.
