Technology, Crime and the Workplace: New Developments and Strategies
Monday, December 10, 2012
12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA
The program will focus on criminal statutes, court rulings and government
enforcement practices and policies and related employment issues that in-house
lawyers and their counsel need to understand when confronted by issues arising
from the increasing use of technology and when creating and enforcing policies
to address the use of technology in the workplace. Topics will include the
Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the Stored Communications Act, the Supreme
Court's decision on GPS tracking devices, and access to Facebook
passwords. The information presented in this program will help sensitize
counsel to emerging issues and assist them in creating forward thinking policies
in this area.
