Representing Clients Pursuing Unemployment Benefits

Description:

This training is designed for attorneys who are seeking to represent on a pro bono basis clients who are pursuing unemployment benefits.

It will focus on the following:
1. Eligibility for unemployment benefits
2. A description of the process of applying
3. A description of the hearing process
4. How to conduct an administrative hearing on behalf of a client
5. A description of other benefits for which the client may be entitled.

This training is open to attorneys of all experience levels, and New Lawyers are encouraged to attend. Assistance and guidance on pro bono cases will be provided by VLP and GBLS.
