The second in the IP Basics Series, this workshop will focus on filing and prosecuting trademarks, including:

  • An overview of trademarks basics and trademark registration options
  • Working with Applicants to draft application specifications
  • How to file a trademark application using the USPTO’s online filing system
  • Understanding the prosecution process and timing: examination, office actions and responses, oppositions
  • Filing and prosecution strategies and practice tips

The IP Basics Workshop Series is designed to give lawyers basic, practical skills that they can apply in real world settings. Whether you are a new attorney, new to the field of IP, or simply want to brush up on a particular skill, the IP Basics Workshops are a great resource.
