Immigration research can be daunting.  One begins with federal statutes and regulations, but many critical immigration rules also live within agency memoranda, published or unpublished case decisions, field manuals, liaison minutes, and other resources that may not be as familiar or accessible.

In this training session, the panelists will present useful research strategies and point newer practitioners in the direction of key materials for various substantive areas such as business, family, removal, and humanitarian-based immigration.  They will also provide some practical tips for conducting immigration law research in a solo, small firm, or pro bono environment where access to resources may be more limited.
