Let's Get Real 2017: Surviving and Succeeding as a Diverse Attorney in Boston

Thursday, July 20, 2017 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

Join us for an open and thought-provoking conversation about Boston's legal community and the hard questions and topics that matter to Boston's diverse attorneys—but are seldom discussed.

Our panelists will draw from their vast personal and professional experiences on wide-ranging topics such as the challenges of being a trailblazer, dealing with unconscious bias among co-workers and clients, expectations of participation in affinity bar activities based on background, and how the issues and challenges you may face will evolve over different phases of your legal career.  Attendees are also encouraged to share their questions and perspectives.

This program is presented in partnership with the following Affinity Bar organizations

- Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys (MAHA)

- Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts (AALAM)

- South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston (SABA GB)

- Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association (MBLA)

- Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA)

- Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar

- Albanian American Bar Association

Networking Reception 5:30pm - 6pm. Panel will begin promptly at 6pm.
