As the law of search and seizure continues to evolve in response to changing technology, what happens when a search that was valid when it occurred would be deemed invalid by the time of trial or appeal? In the federal system, the answer is a straightforward application of the "good faith" exception to the exclusionary rule. In the Massachusetts system, which has not adopted the good faith exception, the answer is less obvious. Join us to learn more.
