Thursday, May 23, 2019 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Description:

With drones anticipated for everything from package delivery to commercial surveillance, the law is stretching to catch up (as usual) to technology advancements. During this brown bag seminar, Robinson & Cole’s. Kathryn Rattigan, an expert on the use and regulations surrounding unmanned aerial systems (UAS or drones), will discuss how drones can be used to collect valuable data and increase productivity, safety, and efficiency of organizations across all industries. She will also provide an overview of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Part 107 regulations, waivers, the FAA “DroneZone,” and the FAA’s LAANC portal. In addition, she will address the onslaught of cybersecurity concerns and threats that should be better understood in order to allow drones to continue to operate safely in the national airspace.
