Civil Litigation Series: Drafting Complaints and Answers

Description:

This program is designed to provide insight into the basics of drafting effective pleadings.  The program will not only include a discussion of practical tips in drafting, but will explore the important strategic decisions that must be made, as well as common pitfalls.  The topics that will be covered will include planning and framing the case, choosing causes of action, forum selection, protecting against attacks on the sufficiency of the complaint, and strategies for filing counterclaims and asserting affirmative defenses.
