Families often face legal custody disputes and decisions that go beyond what can be achieved through traditional, one-size-fits-all sole or shared legal custody arrangements.  Children with special needs or aptitudes, or parents with mental health issues or differing social, religious, or cultural backgrounds, often present unique legal custody issues, which may be better served by well-tailored, less typical custody arrangements.  This CLE program examines the types of situations where unique legal custody issues may arise, and how practioners, courts, guardian ad litems, and parenting coordinators can best approach the particular needs of an individual family as it relates to less-typical legal custody issues.
