Boston Bar Association - 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

Before you can register to attend this event, you must log into the Boston Bar web site.

Description:

January 1, 2019 marked an influx of celebrated literary works into the public domain.  What are the legal and business repercussions for publishing houses, authors, and/or their estates upon such a change in copyright status?  How has technology changed work for copyright lawyers and publishing houses?  Please join our two distinguished panelists, Glenn G. Pudelka, Senior Counsel at Locke Lord, and Becky Hemperly, VP of Contracts, Rights, and Royalties at Candlewick Press, for an illuminating discussion on the ever-dynamic fields of copyright law and publishing.
