Description:

Have you ever had a difficult client? Of course, we all have!

Have you ever taken the step to withdraw from representation? Many attorneys have.

While it may be the best course of action in many circumstances, it comes with its own set of obligations under the Rules of Professional Conduct.

This program will cover the following aspects of withdrawal:

  • When can you and when can you not withdraw under the Rules of Professional Conduct
  • What are your obligations to the client when you withdraw from a matter
  • How to determine when it's time to withdraw from representation
  • What practical steps should you take when withdrawing
  • How to avoid potential withdrawal or discharge at the outset of the engagement
